Happy Thursday! I am so thrilled you are here today reading along for this week’s post. Can you all believe that it is already May? I feel like time is just flying by this year! Maybe it’s because all of the crazy wedding planning or just a busy season but I am just at awe with how fast everything is moving. With that being said, I am so glad that it is because I am such a spring lover! This year I am really enjoying it too! I love waking up and hearing the birds chirping, smelling and hearing the neighborhood mowing their grass and all of the greenery and flowers! It’s just such a happy time of year. Not to mention spring fashion and all the creative, comfortable and bold styles! Like today’s look. I am so excited (like always) to share this one with you because I have been wearing this piece over and over. I think it just may be my favorite spring style I own! Ready to dive in?
See what I mean? How stunning is this floral maxi dress from Nordstrom Rack? Want to know the best part right off the bat? It is under $40. Such a steal! I am all about comfort in this stage of my life right now. I am loving maxi dresses for that very reason and this one just spoke to me. I love the light blue, almost purple tones in this dress. With the hints of yellow and black from the gorgeous floral pattern! Not to mention the fit and subtle details in this piece that make it even more one of a kind. Let’s take a closer look!
On both the sleeves and this mid waist band there is elastic rusche detaling, which I love! It adds a diffrent element to the dress that gives both shape and a but of flare. I also think by adding these details it gives a sense of flattery becuase the elastic hugs in all the right places. I found it more comfortable in a sense than wearing just a “cover” type of maxi dress. I also love the ruffle and or rusche detailing in the front bust of the dress. It again, adds thats ense of flattery that makes this dress a favorite of mine!
I can’t get over how stuuning this dress is! I really hope you all look into purchasing one for yourselves. I truly stand by the comfort and boldness of this dress. I of course decided to go more casual with the pairing of this dress by adding a white brim hat and nude heels. Becuase I meantioned that I have been wearing this dress so much. I have had more time to style it. Therefore, I would also reccomend pairing this dress with a fun with sneaker or any type of bold colored heel. I think it would make for a super fun outfit and add an elemnt of playfullness to this dress!
I wanted to share a few occasions in which I wore this dress to. I wore it all day Easter, Mother’s Day and to a family friends birthday party. It is so versatile in the sense of occasion and style. Like I mentioned in the intro, Spring is such a fun time to be creative and play with color, texture and style!
