Hello beautiful people and welcome back to MorganneRach,
Happy September! My favorite month of the year. I am loving the whirl of autumn that has been in the air. For a few days, it has been a little misty and cooler here in CO. And let me tell you, that is my kind of weather people! I have been drinking all things pumpkin spice, setting up my pumpkins, lighting my fall candles and truly trying to soak in this fall season because this year is extremely special to me.
To help contribute to all things autumn I decided to post about one of my all-time favorite fall looks, this midi rust, polka dot dress from VICI Dolls. I love the funky aspects of this dress but also the flirty, fun elegance of this dress. I can’t wait to dive into today’s look and go into detail about this piece. Let’s continue, shall we?
I want to talk about the color of this dress first, because it is so incredibly gorgeous. I think this rust/cooper color for the fall time, is so romantic and fun. Not to mention my entire wedding color palate is based off of this color. I think what also makes this dress so playful and flirtatious is the polka dots. I mean who doesn’t love polka dots? On the other hand, I think this dress also gives off a sophisticated look by the shape and subtle details it has. Let’s take a closer look.
Because this dress incorporates such a “flowy” aspect. I love how in the mid-waist it sinches and ties to give shape to this piece. I think it is truly necessary for this look. I found it to be also very comfortable and easy to adjust. Once, I did I felt like the dress looked pieced together, and more composed. Don’t get me wrong, I love all things flowy and to give yourself that comfort, but something about sinching a piece to add more dimension and shape is so important.
Let’s talk movement of this dress. One of the more outstanding reasons why I picked this dress was because of the movement and the layers this dress has. If you look closely this dress is almost tiered like a cake. I love how each “segment” of this dress move differently. It truly is such a playful piece and would be so perfect for occasions like work (teacher, retail, sales, ect.) truly any position. A formal dinner, a night out with the girls. It is so fun and versatile in that way!
Autumn is such a beautiful time of the year, having pieces like this in your collection truly make styling for the season that much more exciting. I wanted to mention that although I paired this look with heels, playing around with the accessories of this look can truly elevate how this dress is portrayed. I think for a more casual route, one could stay with a pair of white sneakers or high-top converse. I think any type of wrap heel, sandal or extravagant heel would do the trick. I love taking unique pieces such as this one and playing around with the style to make it mor logical and easy for everyday wear.
Alrighty everyone, that is all I have in store for today! I hope you all enjoyed this fall-themed look. I love showing off pieces like this on the blog to add more of a spunk to my wardrobe and hopefully inspire some of you to do the same! Let me know in the blog comments down below what your favorite fall accessory is (cardigan, booties, sweater). I can’t wait for you all to see what is in store for this fall, so keep your eyes peeled! Thanks so much for tuning in for today’s look. Until next time babes, MUAH.
