Okay, but how cheesy is this title? haha
Happy Saturday my friends! I hope you all have had an amazing week/weekend so far! Here in Colorado we got hit with another spring snow storm! It has been snowing all night into today and has not stopped! This is pretty normal for Colorado weather! Luckily, I shot some pictures for today’s post, last weekend. So, yes I do have another spring outfit post for you all. Yes, its an off the shoulder top. Yes, let me repeat another off the shoulder top! I promise this will be the last one for a while! I am already started to plan some different and fun looks for you all!
So remember in last weekends post when I told you guys about my overwhelming shopping trip (first world problems) and then I located a rack of off the shoulder and bell sleeve tops? This is another top that I had picked up from Forever21. So lets get into the details of this look!
I would definitely also describe this look as a “preppy” inspired look. It is definitely giving me South Carolina, “Southern Charm” vibes. Let me know if any of you know what I’m talking about and or if you watch that show! ANYWAY, lets get into the outfit before I start getting even more off topic. So a mistake I made when picking out these tops is I didn’t get this right size top. I accidentally picked up a small instead of a medium. I don’t know about you guys, but I like my clothes a little more loose fitting. So that was an issue I ran into while preparing this outfit. But, I made it work.
Stripped off the shoulder top.
What I like: I loved the look of this top. As many of you know, light blue and white is so in right now for spring! I love the effect that the thin strips give on this top. Nothing too overwhelming. I also love the top rim of this off the shoulder. It gives a really comfortable and secure feel. As I have mentioned in previous posts featuring off the shoulder tops, some can be super uncomfortable. This top was awesome for giving that comfortable and assuring feel that the top part won’t slide around. Another detail of this top that I was obsessed with was the style of the half sleeves. They we’re rolled up, so stylish looking! This top is one of those versatile pieces that can be dressed up or styled casually.
What I didn’t like: So like I mentioned before, the only thing I would have changed is the fit of this top. For me personally, I wish I would have gone with a bigger size. It did feel a little snug. The fabric of this top was not very flexible so it was hard to make comfortable in the aspect of feeling to tight! So make sure you get your size or maybe even a size up!
I thought this top would pair so well with some fresh white skinny jeans and some bow tie brown wedges! I think white is so refreshing and I love white anything in general, but for Spring I think it’s always the way to go!
I also added my Michael Kors handbag, that I’ve had forever now! I know they still have this bag, so I will leave it linked down below! I may even be marked down some because its not so “in style” anymore. ( dreaming of a Louis Vuitton never full bag.) I do get a lot of questions on this bag, so I will leave it linked this time!
That is all for today loves! I’m going to make myself some hot coco and under the covers I go! I promise next weeks post will be something different so stay posted!
Till next time!
