I hope you all had a magical holiday spent however you all wanted the day to look! I am feeling a mix of emotions as I usually do after the holidays are over. Such a weird phase after Christmas and approaching the New Year. This holiday season was semi stressful over here in CO. Planning a wedding, while trying to maintain the holidays has been nothing short of, crazy! But, I feel so ready to take on the New Year, I have a feeling it’s going to be one of the best yet!
I wanted to spend today’s post yes, of showing off this to die for New Years sparkly dress but also to talk about some of my New Years resolutions with you all. I know I love reading what everyone else is working towards in the New Year. It motivates me to read others and grab inspiration. So buckle up, it’s going to be a good one!
Okay, disco ball vibes am I right? This dress screamed New Years to me and I knew I had to have it when I saw it! So festive, so flirty and so fun! I love anything sequins especially for fun outgoing occasions like New years! The shape of this dress is also so fun for the holiday! Any dress that is flattering without being too tight or uncomfortable is a win in my book! Every detail on this dress has a purpose from the fun balloon sleeves to the midi length, I am drooling over this find! I think everyone should own something this fun in their wardrobe! Let’s check out some different angles!
Okay, how perfect is this bow in the back? I mean, I truly think this is the detail that ties everything together for this dress. Such a key detail to such a fun piece! I want to wear this everyday! I think the slight tie in the back adds so much movement and shape to this dress, while drawing the eye to such a flattering detail. Yes for bows! I also think the length is so prefect for such a busy dress such as this. Something I worry about when I am looking at sequins pieces is the weight of the dress because if you have ever owned anything like it, you know how heavy they can be, this dress says otherwise! It is a perfect length, not too heavy and all around playful for such a fun night of the year. Let’s end 2021 in style shall we?
I am drooling over this dress, have I mentioned that yet? Anyway I wanted to dive into my first resolution of the year:
1.Maintain Health:
I feel like this is such a common goal for everyone at the beginning of the year. A goal that dwindles down as the months pass by. My overall heath is something I am wanting to strive to make more seriously. This doesn’t just mean to workout more, eat more veggies and lay off the Starbucks. But, to be mindful about what it is I am consuming, what I am reading, watching, applying! My over all health also means my mental health and I want to take progressive steps to improve all aspects of my health.
How I am going to start: We all need a starting place right? I am going to listen to my body, avoid temptation (your girl has got a wedding dress to fit into). and like I mentioned be more mindful of what it is I am consuming. As far as my mental health goes, I want to eliminate as much stress as I can by getting good exercise, diving into deep thinking podcasts and hydrating my body to the best of my ability!
2.Get Those Goals:
For a lack of better words I want to be proactive with goal setting and set realistic ways to achieve those goals. Such as planning my dream wedding, become more career driven and be more “proactive” on the blog.
How I am going to start: For example, one of my main goals for 2022 is to be more open on social media and reach potential collaborations I have been wanting for years now. I want to elevate my content and being more creative by reaching out to dream collab companies here in MorganneRach. This blog has been apart of my for years now, I want to continue growing.
Quick break, so we can quickly talk about these dazzling earrings! How fun are these? New Years is the time to go all out and being a little more playful with your looks, at least that’s my rule! I think with a dress as bold as this one, it’s so fun to match that energy by adding a playful earring, headband or bright accessories. I will link all my favorites below including these beauties. Plus they’re super affordable!
3.Be Adventurous:
This is a goal I have been trying to make a priority for a long time now. I feel as though over the years I get “stuck” in my daily ruts that I am wanting to expand and be more adventurous. Wither that means going on more walks around my block, traveling to different hot spots in CO or going out of state. I want to explore while I can, there is so much to see! Pretty bold New Years resolution, am I right? Who else wants to travel more?
How I am going to start: By planning small outgoings each month to build up my traveling momentum!
4. More Mindful Relationships:
My main goal for the New Year is to be more mindful of the relationships I have with others. I want to devote myself to being more present, caring and attentive to relationships with family, friends and loved ones.
How I will start: By checking in on everyone close around me, making sure everyone feels loved cared for and heard. That’s all you can ask fore in a friend, am I right?
