Easter Inspiration

Hey beauties! Welcome back to my weekly Saturday post!

As you all know by now, it is Easter weekend and I have another holiday inspired look for you all! One aspect of Easter that has always inspired me is all the pastel colors (like the color of this handbag). Wither it may be in the Easter eggs, baskets or church clothes, I’M OBSESSED! I wanted to do something super casual for you all, but still Easter “themed.” I have had such a busy week between work and life in general that I have not had the time to go pick out an Easter Sunday dress that I was hoping to post for you all. But, I did last minute pick up this super cute top and these adorable “spring” shoes! I still defiantly thought this outfit was still appropriate for Sunday morning church service, brunch and or any Easter activity that you may have planned! Plus, it is ultra comfortable. Lets get into the details, shall we?

I know this post will go up the day before Easter, so if you are like me and need some last minute inspiration, I got you guys!

Lets start off with the top!

What I like: If you guys couldn’t tell already I am loving this “off the shoulder” trend lately! I really enjoy how light and airy the off the shoulder pieces look and feel. This top was so comfortable! I didn’t feel uncomfortable in anyway, during the day or while I was being photographed.  I loved the denim vibe this top gave off! I think this is such a sleek and adorable look! I also thinks it adds so much to the top, something to make it more trendy and cute!  So appreciate for Spring and Easter! Another thing I love about this top (I know I could go on and on) is the price: $22.99! We are talking about Target here, so I do understand that you get what you pay for, but if any of you are on a budget like I am, you know how tough it can be to stay trendy or afford nice items on a budget. So, this top is definitely affordable and so worth it!

What I don’t like: As I said before I am loving these off the shoulder tops! One thing I did notice with this one in particular was that I kept having to pull the shoulder part down, again and again to give it that “off the shoulder look” mine kept sliding off. That’s the only thing I found kind of annoying with this top!

I paired this look with classic white skinny jeans which I will leave linked below. I won’t go into full detail but I think this top pairs well with white, but like I always say make it custom to you and your style!

On to these shoes! (heart eye emoji)

What I like: I am obsessed with how these shoes look and the spring vibe they give off. Now I don’t know about anyone else, but I am pretty self conscious about my feet, so I’ve always been one to shy away from open toed shoes. But, I am loving these you guys! So comfortable I would literally wear these all day long! I love how they tie up to give the show more of a “sandal” look.

What I don’t like: The only thing I wasn’t loving about this shoe, is the feeling that they were going to slide off, or didn’t feel super secure. Now, I’m sure that’s an easy fix just to tie them tighter or buy a different size! Maybe, I’m so used to not wearing open toed shoes that they felt so light on me! If any of you try these beauties out let me know what you think’!

Now, onto sharing a little bit of what Easter looked like in my household. My mom is such a crafty and thoughtful person. Holidays, no matter what it was, came to life for my sister and I. My mom would decorate our Easter baskets so unbelievably beautiful like. She would weave fake looking grass into our baskets, glue little knickknacks on as well. Every year she would also hide eggs around the house full of candy. My mom had all of our childhood videos made into DVD’s that she used to film with our super old fashion video camera. One video I remember super vividly. It was Easter morning and my sister and I were egg hunting, and my sister found my Easter basket before I even got to it. (mind you I was like three or four years old.) My sister has always been the “take charge” “protective sister” towards me and I love her for it. I remember in the video she said “Morgie, over here over here! Look what the Easter bunny left you!” and my mom got so mad at my sister for running my chances of finding the basket on my own! I don’t know why that memory always plays back in my mind when I think Easter.

Also, as I got older it became my mother, sister and I’s tradition to wake up super early and go over to the Red Rocks Easter service to watch the sun rise! Its such huge bonus living so close to the Red Rock amphitheater. It’s absolute breath taking plus the service is amazing. I will insert a picture here just so you guys can get a gimps!
