Hello loves and happy first day of fall!
If you have been a part of the blog for a while you know how much not only this day, but this entire season means to me! I am so beyond excited to discover what this fall season has to offer. Every year I feel like same kind of excitement when fall officially arrives, it’s kind of like Christmas for me.
Besides planning a whole entire wedding, I am so excited to plan all my visits to the pumpkin patch, apple orchard, haunted corn maze and more! One of my goals this fall is to also bake some yummy fall treats! I can’t wait to fully embrace the season. But most of all, my favorite thing about fall is the fashion. Warm sweaters, cozy cardigans, booties and all the plaid! Speaking of plaid, let’s dive into today’s autumn inspired look!
Okay, I knew I had to save this one for a special occasion because it truly is one of my favorite looks to date! What screams first day of autumn louder than a plaid jacket, a sweater dress and booties. I can’t get enough of this look, and I have been seeing this layer type style everywhere this year! I wanted to give a brief moment for the plaid jacket because I think it deserves it! I am loving how this whole look paired together and I think 90% of that is owed to this jacket. I have been wearing this beauty like crazy. It has been so effortless to style. Throw is over a dress like I have here, a turtleneck with some denim, a loungewear set. I mean the options are endless!
I also wanted to talk about the fall tones in this look as a whole. I love how the rust brick in this coat really pull out the neutrals of the piece and make it a statement. I am and always will be a neutral loving girl, so anytime I can make an entire look of neutrals work, I am thrilled! I bought this coat from VICI Dolls. But nonetheless, I have been seeing these everywhere! This one in particular, is so lightweight which I love this one because it’s easy to style and layer. But two because fall is not always chilly, so it makes it easy to dress like it’s fall even if it’s still 80 degrees outside.
This jacket also has so many cool details that make it unique. The button up sleeves that are also adjustable! Also, I love the subtle collar and pockets. I look for small details like this because I think it truly adds to the overall feel of the look, making it also practical.
Let’s have a quick chat about the mocha-colored sweater dress from Nordstrom made by BB Dakota one of my favorite lines to shop. The quality that you receive from a BB Dakota piece is truly unmatchable. Anyway, I went with an easy to recreate layer because I know sometimes it can be stressful picking out how to layer looks such as this one. (At least my Virgo brain thinks s0). I love how this dress worked out with the look! Let’s talk overall confront because I think that is so important and something I stress about all my looks! No need to fear, comfort is here! This dress is so soft, lightweight but not see through and sturdy. I will wear this dress over and over again this fall.
I think these Steve Madden boots may be the main character of this whole look. I saw these on the Nordstrom anniversary sale, and I knew I had to have them right off the bat. Yes, I have been wearing them like crazy and they ate absolutely a staple in my fall wardrobe. I recommend these boots not only because how cute they are but the quality, sturdiness and comfort is crazy! They also tie together any look, especially for the fall. I highly recommend, you won’t regret it!
Alrighty everyone that is it for today’s autumn inspired look! I hope you all look something away from today’s post! I will of course link everything down below! Also, let me know your favorite fall activity in the comments! Until next time loves, MUAH!
